I know...I know... Essential Oils are on the rise for trendy things to use right now, and it seems like everybody is trying to sell something these days. But I wanted to share my personal experience, and want you to know that I'm not trying to sell you on oils or pressure you to purchase any. I just want to share my experience so far and it's only been a month.

Essential Oils are the "lifeblood" of plants, herbs, fruits and vegetables. They are basically a super concentrated, pure form of the plant is was extracted from. You can diffuse, ingest or apply them topically to experience the benefits they offer. Most of the oils are very versatile and can help in so many different ways in your life. For example, I use lemon EO in my water, for cleaning, and for getting grease off pots and pans.

I had been researching Essential Oils for a while and finally picked to buy from Young Living. Young Living appealed to me in so many ways, but mostly because of their "seed to seal" promise:

"We believe that you deserve products that are genuine, free of synthetic chemicals, and of unmatched purity. Seed to Seal® is both a promise to you and a reflection of our sense of global stewardship. Through each step of our production process on both our own and partner farms, we use the most exacting standards possible to make our products, your life, and the earth better. Only one company can make the Seed to Seal promise. Only Young Living."

You can read more about it here on their website. Their farms are actually available for the public to go tour, which is pretty cool to me that they are so open. I don't think we can say that about many companies, unfortunately.

"This unique approach sets us apart. We oversee every step of production to ensure that you get pure essential oils and products you won’t find anywhere else."

My goal with Essential Oils was to incorporate them in my everyday life in a way that would help us be healthier. I made my own household cleaners and got rid of most of the cleaning products in my home. The best part: all I used was water, vinegar and the EO thieves. It smells amazing, I only used a few drops so I know the bottle I have will last, AND it has disinfectant properties so I know my home is getting cleaned just as well as it did when I used bleach and lysol.

I think my favorite part is trying new things with a really fun community. I am a part of a community of oilers who are supportive, informative and helpful: Red Creek Essentials. I would love for you to visit young living's website to learn more about the wonderful company I am involved with, and visit our support website here.
