Home for Christmas

Our trip home for Christmas was perfect. It went by so fast! We are so thankful for the time we got with everybody, considering we weren't home for Christmas last year and this was nick's first time home since we moved to VA.

We had to split up our time evenly, so besides Christmas and Christmas Eve, each family got one day with us.

12.22: Nick didn't get in until 1am and we didn't leave the airport until 3am, so we slept in and relaxed for the morning. We went to the Rock for dinner with my mom, Rachael and Shyanne, and we all ate so much. Then we all made Christmas cookies for Santa and watched a movie that night.

12.23: In the morning, we headed over to my dad's and stopped at nick's house to say hi on the way.  My dad cooked us a steak dinner and we relaxed and spent the night at his house.

12.24: We woke up and spent the morning with my grandma in gig harbor and then headed back to my mom's. We went to my Grammy and Poppy's apartment in Renton for the day. Our family tradition is to go to Benihana's for dinner with the whole fam, and then do gifts afterwards. I always look forward to this night of going to Seattle and eating too much.

12.25: Christmas morning we went to my Dad's in Gig Harbor. We all went to my grandma's for a prime rib Christmas lunch her place puts on and then we opened gifts afterwards.

12.25: Christmas afternoon we went to Nick's grandma's for their family Christmas dinner and had a great time. We did Christmas with his immediate family that night. Nick was spoiled with a bunch of tools, and I got a kindle that I am already in love with.

12.26: Part of our gift was going to Elf in Seattle at the 5th Ave theater. Nick's parents cooked a wonderful prime rib dinner before the play and we went out for drinks after. Before we got to the 5th ave theater  we walked through the Sheraton's gingerbread village. I had never been, so it was so fun to see!

We had such an amazing trip, and we were so so spoiled. Thank you to EVERYBODY for making our Christmas perfect. Nick was spoiled with a bunch of tools, and I got a kindle that I am already in love with. We got home depot gift cards, and we have already bought the BBQ we have been wanting for months now. But the best gift was the time spent with our families this year.
